The "Filiera 4.0 - Innovazione e tracciabilità a sostegno delle filiere agroalimentari liguri" (Innovation and traceability in support of Ligurian agri-food chains) project is aimed at enhancing the Ligurian agri-food industry and promoting the Quality of local products.

Traceability, Plastic Free and Zero Residue are the innovations and virtuous practices which the project intends to enhance:

- taking action on product traceability through technological support and IT tools;

- encouraging the use of new materials with a lower environmental impact in production cycles;

- reducing the amount of residues of individual pesticides in crops.

In order to spread the awareness of the values and contents of the project, an innovative brand was created,  characterised by a strong territorial identity and capable of making the territorial products immediately recognisable.

The project starts from a local business of excellence - the producers of potted aromatic and ornamental plants in the Ingauna (SV) area - in the view of subsequently expanding throughout the territory, reaching commercial intermediaries and local, Italian and foreign consumers.

Filiera 4.0 has a twofold purpose: giving visibility to the efforts that farms are making to equip themselves with innovative tools to ensure quality, food safety, environmental sustainability and traceability of production operations, and providing consumers with appropriate tools to better understand the products they buy. By scanning a QR code, it will be possible to trace certain indications on the origin, production phases and sustainability of production cycles. 

Today the Project is in Phase 5 of the end of the Project and sharing of the results.
